HIGH SCHOOL MUSICALS

With spring just around the corner, local high schools are getting ready to raise the curtain on their musicals. The information will be updated as it becomes available. Schools are listed based on the dates of their show.


WEST MIFFLIN, 91 Commonwealth Ave. - "Mean Girls," Feb. 29 - March 2 at 7 p.m. and March 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12, $6 for students at wmasdmusic.weebly.com. 


THOMAS JEFFERSON, 830 Old Clairton Road - "Disney's Beauty and the Beast," March 14-16 at 7 p.m. and March 17 at noon and 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance at tjhs.ludus.com/index.php. 


STEEL VALLEY, 3113 Main St., Munhall - "Matilda the Musical," March 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. and March 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10, $8 for youth ages 10 and younger at svdrama.seatyourself.biz or at the door.

SOUTH ALLEGHENY, 2743 Washington Boulevard - "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," March 15-16 at 7 p.m. and March 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10,  $5 for students.


NORWIN, 251 McMahon Drive, Door #6, Irwin - "Grease," March 21-23 at 7 p.m. and March 24 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15, $12 for students and seniors. Tickets go on sale March 1 at 11 a.m. at showtix4u.com/event-details/78951.


ELIZABETH FORWARD, at Thomas Jefferson High School, 830 Old Clairton Road - "Big Fish," April 4-6 at 7 p.m. and April 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.eftheaterarts.org or www.efmusical.com. 


EAST ALLEGHENY, 1150 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles - "The Wedding Singer," April 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and April 13 at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale March 18 at www.easd.booktix.com or at the door 45 minutes prior to the show. VIP reserved seats are $15 for Orchestra Center, rows D-J; general admission is $12, $10 for seniors and students.


McKEESPORT, 1960 Eden Park Boulevard - "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," April 11-12 at 7 p.m. and April 13 at 2 and 7 p.m.


SERRA CATHOLIC, 200 Hershey Drive, McKeesport - "The Addams Family," April 19 at 7 p.m., April 20 at 1 and 7 p.m., and April 21 at 2 p.m.
